Three El Dorado citizens accused of anabolic steroid manufacturingJason Glavin, an owner of a now-closed nutritional supplement company in Folson called Max Muscle, was recently charged of manufacturing anabolic steroids.

Along with Glavin was a Fair Oaks couple arrested for possession of controlled substance, its selling, distribution and transportation.

Erin O’Neil, 40, had been arrested together with his wife Amy, 32 in their home at Catsleglen Way in Fair Oaks.

Glavin, on the other hand, was arrested in his Borgata Way home in El Dorado. Another search warrant was also served in the 3000 block of Elorduy Lane in Elverta where officials reportedly discovered as the clandestine steroids lab.

Inside the Elverta home were found more than 500 vials of anabolic steroids and 1,850 capsules of anabolic steroid pills. According to Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge Gordon Taylor of the Drug Enforcement Administration, a huge anabolic steroids lab was also found inside.

The West El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team began the investigations in January 2009. The investigation ended in October 14 after Glavin was caught after he delivered 100 vials of anabolic steroids to an undercover officer in a parking lot in Citrus Heights.

According to Taylor, these arrests were a major seizure in the El Dorado area.

From El Dorado Hills:

“In terms of underground steroid labs, this was a huge seizure for this area,” Taylor said. “The illegal use of anabolic steroids can be a dangerous practice, especially for young people. This danger is only compounded when drug rings manufacture steroids in unsanitary, unsterilized underground labs like we found in this case.”
