I hadn’t heard about Buzzback Research until I saw it on Lee’s list of survey sites he had joined. (Thanks, Lee for posting your monthly earnings for us!) I must say I’m glad that I found it! It’s a little different from the survey site herd, and I like that. The graphics are interesting and unique, but I found the research methods most intriguing of all. The first survey I was offered after joining didn’t ask the normal “what do you like to do” questions, but asked what kind of  “object”  would I be and why. It’s the first time I had essay questions to answer, and in addition, they gave examples of 2 different woman, described them, and asked which one I was more like.  When you do as many surveys as we all do, I think a little variety is nice, don’t you??

You’ll earn points for cash, sweepstakes or gifts. Buzzback will let you know what you’ll earn before you take a survey. They don’t send out that many, but I’ve qualified for most of them and have earned about $8 in points. You can earn anywhere from $1 to $10 per survey, and you’ll be paid by check when the research is over (this can take up to 2 months). Overall, I think Buzzback Market Research is a great survey site, winning numerous market research awards for their research and website.

One more thing I need to mention today. I received an email from a head of a university research study, asking that I delete a comment on the blog which could compromise their ongoing study. The comment had detailed the study and the debriefing summary which was offered through a well-known research panel. I deleted the comment immediately and apologized for the inconvenience.

We need to remember that some of the studies are ongoing, and that when we accept the terms of the surveys, in most cases, we are agreeing not to discuss its content. It’s VERY helpful to discuss the surveys we receive and take, but I think we should be much more general in terms of describing them. I haven’t always been as careful as I should have been, so I hope that we will all remember to leave out specifics and talk more in generalities  when we are sharing our knowledge about particular surveys.
